Affiliate Marketing: What is it?
Are you looking for a way to make good money online without having to sell anything? Then affiliate marketing will be the best way to go. For sure you’ve already heard of affiliate marketing whenever you read about the different money-making schemes online, but how does it exactly help you earn money? They say that in affiliate marketing you don’t have to sell anything-so how can you earn money with that?
Affiliate marketing is a kind type of internet marketing method in which you will set up a partnership with an online merchant. Your blog or website will be used to advertise the merchant’s products and services by making them more visible to potential clients or by sending them directly to that merchant’s website.
There are basically three ways in which you can earn money from affiliate marketing, and these include:
- Pay-per-Click Ads (PPC). In PPC, your blog or site will contain ads from the online merchant, and visitors that click on these links will then generate certain amount money on your end. The more unique clicks, the more money you get.
- Pay-per-Sale. PPS meanwhile involves actual customer purchase from the online merchant. If a customer was able to go the online merchant’s site through your links and made a sale, then you get share of the sales revenue from that particular customer.
- Pay-per-lead. Pay-per-lead advertising on the other hand does not require a customer making a purchase; the customer simply has to sign-up at the online merchant’s website, so that you can earn a certain share.
Affiliate marketing is easy, if you know how to maximize its methods efficiently. At first it can be tricky to use affiliate marketing as your main source of online income, as it takes time for you to master the ways of the trade, otherwise your ads may end up stagnant even after a few months.
If you are determined to become an affiliate marketer, then you should devote time in giving your ads the right exposure so that they will be clicked by potential customers. There are many ways to do so, beginning with simply posting in forums or making product reviews, or giving them a good story on your own website. It is also important to establish a stable flow of visitors on your website, as once you have your audience ready, you will have more chances of getting your ads clicked regularly.
